Great Ape
A transformation exclusive to Saiyans. When a Saiyan with a tail absorbs at least 17 million zeno units of Blutz Waves through their retinas, they transform into a Great Ape. This is typically achieved by looking at a full moon. However, other methods can recreate the reaction. The affected Saiyan's body will grow into a giant, anthropomorphic, monkey-like creature.
Gohan transforms into a Great Ape twice, once when Piccolo forces him to train for the Saiyan invasion, and again against Vegeta.
This transformation provides a 10x multiplier to the user's base power.
Super Saiyan
The initial stage of the Super Saiyan line of transformations, all of which are exclusive to Saiyans. Initially considered a legend until Goku achieved it. Obtained when a Saiyan's S-Cell count reaches a large amount, and a feeling of intense anger or sadness triggers the transformation. When transformed, the user's hair turns golden blonde and stands upright. While their eyes become teal. The user's emotions are also affected. A once calm and collected nature turns rash and noticeably violent.
Gohan becomes a Super Saiyan and masters the form during his training with Goku in the Room of Spirit and Time. He utilizes this form later as The Golden Warrior.
This transformation provides a 50x multiplier to the user's base power.
Super Saiyan 2
The Super Saiyan form ascended beyond a Super Saiyan. First achieved by Gohan. Attained via various methods, all of which require mastering Super Saiyan and a high enough battle power. Awakened similarly to Super Saiyan. The user's hair stands up even more and becomes spikier. Lightning also surrounds the user.
Gohan unlocks this form in his fight against Perfect Cell and uses it again during the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament in an attempt to prevent Majin Buu's awakening.
This transformation provides a 100x multiplier to the user's base power.
Ultimate
A state one can achieve after their latent potential is unlocked. This form enables the user's dormant power to be fully unleashed and utilized at its maximum potential. For Gohan, the form does not significantly alter his appearance. His facial features become slightly more defined, and his hair sticks up, maintaining its natural black color.
Gohan obtains this form after having his latent potential unlocked by Old Kai and utilizes it in his fight against Majin Buu.

Beast
A unique, evolved form of Gohan's Ultimate state. Comparable to Super Saiyan 2's awakening. Boasting raw power and speed potentially greater than Goku's Perfected Ultra Instinct. Gohan's hair becomes quite lengthy, sharp, and light gray and sticks diagonally upwards and backwards. His eyes become red and lightning surrounds him. His voice also deepens.
Gohan unlocks this form in his fight against Cell Max. Currently, as a temporary solution to draw out its maximum strength, Gohan powers up to the cusp of losing control and maintains that state. However, this also quickly drains Gohan's stamina.
