Prior Knowledge
Marvel was officially founded in 1939 by Martin Goodman. Before being named Marvel Comics, the company had two prior names, which were Timely Comics and Atlas Comics.
The First of Many
Marvel decided to take a leaf of faith and created an Iron Man movie that was released in 2008. This movie was such a success that it launched what is now known as the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The Phases
Marvel decided to break up the releases of their movies into phases. This allows them to interconnect the movies, characters, and themes. These phases also make up the sagas, including the Infinity Saga (Phases 1-3) and the Multiverse Saga (Phases 4-6). As of right now, five of the phases have been completely released, and only one movie has been released for the sixth.
